Bio-, medical and nanotechnology
Biotechnology is amongst those interdisciplinary sciences, which unites most modern biological sciences with engineering technologies to create such products via manipulating living and biological systems, which could help in the advancement of medical, agricultural, food and pharmaceutical industry.
At present, most of the problems mankind will face in the near future could be solved only through advanced biotechnological methods. This could manifest in the production of new kind of fuels, seawater based bioprocesses, waste-product treatment, forage production, usage of CO2 as raw material (converting CO2 and C into fuels), regenerative medicine and also in the production of faster and effective vaccines/medicines, nanotechnological methods and the understanding of human genetics.
